I am in Thailand for 2 nights and three days. Should I stay in Bangkok or travel down to Pattaya?

The beach is not nice.

The beach is not why males flock to Pattaya. They gather there because there is an abundance of girls willing to please them for a fee.

The fee is lower in Pattaya than in Bangkok and it is also easier to find cheap accommodation.

I cannot comment on the girls(!) but have been to both Bangkok and Pattaya. I enjoyed Bangkok a lot more. Pattaya is a sleazy cesspool, the beach is awful and so are all the hotels I know.

For that short period, if I were you I would stay in Bangkok.

Best if you just travel home.

As the new Airport is about 40 to 50 Minutes away from BKK, you might as well hit of to Pattaya(same distance) When you get into BKK, just check outside, some of the Girls are escorting their Ex B/F back to the Airport and be more then happy to give you are ride back to Pattaya, Money wise, same old same, you get what you pay for!

For that short stay I would stay in Bangkok, when I come from or go to Phuket I always stay in the Landmark hotel not more then a day or to. The nightlife is great and the landmark is in the middle of it ... Always fun but after a few days Bangkok can be boresome.... check the link for the right hotel

cost wise? i use it depends on the product, new or used, or over used. also sometime some nationalities pay more then others. it''s just a fact of life.
