Pattaya City, 12th November 2008, especially in Jomtien, a quiet beach, was no longer quiet. Mass of people from different parts of Thailand came join us here.
Jomtien beach traffic was changed to one-way system to avoid the traffic jammed. While in Pattaya itself, there were thousands of people cerebrated the festival in Walking Street and around the Bali Hai Piere.

This year, Loi Krathong festival in Pattaya, had more local visitors compare with last year, but fewer foreigners. Not to be surprised, because of the political situation and many other problems around the world.

There were no Coyote dance in Pattaya Loi Krathong Festival and this year's festival complying with tradition. There are a lot of Thai and foreigners women dressed up in beautiful Thai costume; to competed for fun and prizes. The competition took place in Walking Street; those shop operators’ provided colorful Krathongs, mainly made of leaves and flowers for people in reasonable prices. This year the government requested, that people should be aware that their actions do not cause any harm to the culture.

When the time came to “floating”the “Krathong”, everyone has got a beautiful Krathong with candles, coins, incense sticks, lit the candles together and prayed for good luck and floated the Krathong on the water at the same time of the folks were flying Khom Lois, meant to fly grief and ill fortune away from our people and our city PATTAYA.
